God, I haven't posted in like... forever... Dx

Sorry! Been busy. I just got on summer vacation two weeks ago, and so far, I haven't really been enjoying it. I don't really like summer much anyway, because where I live, it's brutal heat, 24/7. I mean, yeah, I'm used to it, but I still don't like it.

But that's not the reason why I don't like this summer vacation. My parents have been kind of ruining it for my sister and I. They have been fighting so much, it's ridiculous. This summer was the first time in my entire life where I saw my father cry. I'm not going to post the entire story because it's extremely long and boring. Just know that it started in Decemeber, so that's one of the reasons I haven't been posting a lot.

Anyway. My dad's moved out. He's up in a little fishing town right now, since my mom said that they needed a seperation. I thought that I would be elated about this, but to be honest, it's more of a bittersweet feeling. I dunno. It's weird.

So yeah. My life pretty much sucks right now. But I'm cool with it. I'm not mad about my parents fighting like my sister is; I understand that it's their problem, and that it's in their control, and I was taught that you aren't suppost to worry about what's not in your control.

I'm still doing my music with my band. We got a new bassist/vocalist in January, and he's something amazing. He added the missing piece to our band. It kind of sucks at how he's leaving this summer. He's going to Virginia to spend time with his mom, so we're trying to find a temporary replacement for him. We already have someone in mind, but it's not official.

Oh, and we replaced our drummer. Our former drummer was holding us back, e.g., he never came to practice, when he did, he said he was too tired to play, etc. So, we got our guitarist's older brother to play drums, and he is amazing. I'm really glad he's apart of our band.

My band actually has a gig at Hot Topic tomorrow night! Yes, the store. Apparently, Hot Topic does acousitc gigs about every two weeks for new, unsigned local bands. I talked it over with the employees, and they said sure. I gave them our demo, and they've been playing it in the store, you know, getting the word now. We even made a (sucky) flyer! Haha.

But yeah. I'm sorry I haven't posted in like, forever. I really need to start getting more active on dA. x3
